This gray fox kit was brought to NWC in 2000 after being attacked by dogs. The damage to its back end is too graphic to show in this photo. After months of rehab at
NWC, it was released! |

Someone witnessed a person purposefully swerve to hit the red fox mom of these kits (early April 2002). Fortunately, there was enough snow to track back to the den to rescue these 6 adorable orphans. All were released in late July 2002. |

Several years ago a donation was made allowing us to purchase
a couple Intensive Care Units and an incubator. In 2002 we hatched 11 mallard

Throughout the years we have also gotten in loons. A
special bird to the Northwoods. Pictured is an adult and immature.
Each came in at separate times in the summer of 2008. Both were
successfully released. |

Mammals and birds are the the only wildlife we take care
of. We also receive a number of turtles each year. The Snapping
turtle is being released after being successfully patched up from being hit
by a car. (The shine on his shell is from the patch.) Also a pic of a
very cute, newly hatched snapping turtle. |
