Kestrel and Red Tailed Cages

Our Director of Education and volunteers worked quite hard on these cages.  Currently we have two male American Kestrels, Jake and Elwood, resigning in the first half. Bart wanted to add a touch of home for these guys so he painted a forest edge scene with an actual telephone pole.

Winter set in before we could finish the Red-tailed hawk side.  Sierra was moved into her new cage the Fall of 2004.  Like the Kestrels' enclosure it was made to look like an area where you could expect to find Red-tailed hawks, a farm barnyard or field.
