Befriend Ginna!

Injury:  Broken right metacarpal

Ginna is an Great Horned owl that became a resident in April 1998.  Her injury is a broken metacarpal on the right wing, which is equal to a person breaking a finger.  The problem is that her metacarpals help her turn and get around trees.  With one of these broken and improperly healed she isn’t able to maneuver well and therefore cannot be released.  Ginna is an educational display bird which is helpful with Orson (another Great Horned owl) away at programs so much.
